I usually scour around old industrial areas looking for good spots I can photograph cars and I found this at the back of an old factory behind a chain link fence , I think its incredibly gorgeous has foreign license plates, and right hand drive so definitely an Import , wood dash board so all clues say British but what is it?

Jensen C-V8 judging by the front end.

Old UK plates and RHD. Probably of a UK brand. No idea what brand though, yet.

It looks like an old Bristol, maybe a 410 or 411, I'm not sure.
Well, at least it looks like it has the Bristol "signature", aka the trap door between the front wheel and driver's door where the spare wheel is hidden.
EDIT : Like this :
EDIT 2 : Nope, My bad, definitly a Jensen CV8

Spot-on, the hood intake is a good clue.
It has a very unique front.

That must be it.

Think you are right, man who would have though there would be a one of these lurking in a questionable neighbor hood in New Jersey, any idea about the price, think I might go back and make an offer.

Any idea about cost/rarity?
![]() 10/20/2013 at 14:15 |

Well, about 500 were ever made, for cost it depends, the only ones I can find online are going at about 20-25k £ but they are in perfect condition.
![]() 10/20/2013 at 14:15 |

Here you go. About $35k-$40k for a clean properly restored one.
![]() 10/20/2013 at 14:16 |

I would guess around $15k for it in its current condition.
![]() 10/20/2013 at 14:27 |

Yeah $15k sounds about right I think, Body looks pretty clean, and looks like it was maintained pretty well for some time atleast, don't know whats underneath though.. wasn't able to get a close look, the owner was out..

Definitely a Jensen CV-8. Like an Interceptor, but with a fibreglass bodyshell and a less kickass name.

Did you ask around if there was an owner to this car? ...some areas of NJ have a certain reputation....
If there is an owner based on the fact that they have left if in such a state they may not realize what they have so I would start around $12k and go from there. Also finding parts will probably be nearly impossible.

Yeah I know what you mean, and this happens to be close to an area with said reputation, so don't really know. I asked around and apparently the owner of this lot comes by every other day so, he may have some more info.. probably a good idea if I took a friend along.. lol!

Yeah, that is probably a good idea. I wouldn't be surprised if he got it as payment for services or inherited it from an enthusiast relative and just thinks it's a cool car he will fix up one day.

It has a Chrysler drivetrain and it's in the US, so I don't think it will be that hard.

Motor bits yes but replacement body panels, interior trim, window glass, suspension parts, stock wheels, will all be hard to come by

Jensen was a small manufacturer, there's a chance there was some part bin sharing with this one.
